History: Blalock-Taussig Shunt Original 1945 JAMA Paper

The surgical treatment of malformations of the heart
in which there is pulmonary stenosis or pulmonary atresia
Alfred Blalock & Helen B. Taussig

They reported 3 cases in whom BT shunt was performed. First patient E.M.S. had surgery on Nov 29, 1944.
